// PROS:
+ The build quality as usual from recent years behringer products is really good.
+ The core sound is overal good with some character. I personaly don't know if it sounds similar to an oberheim but probably not. It still has a cool core sound though, but a rather limited one of course.
// CONS:
- For some reason the mod wheel affects the Pitch LFO ammount which is kind of unusable except for making weird noises. Had it affect the LFO speed instead as usual would have been so much better, or even better if it was possible to for us to select what the mod wheel affects.
- It seems that it does not handle velocity from midi well. I've tried with 2 different midi keyboard and sometimes notes wont trigger probably due to low velocity and in general I can't get a consistent performance velocity-wise with this synth for some reason. It just feels weird and mutes notes (I'm talking about Unison mode). Something I haven't ever encountered with any other synth using my midi keyboards.
// EQUAL:
= For some reason I was hoping this to have voice panning even if just a simple one, but that's on me. There is a stereo jack output there already so its probably just a matter of firmware.
I hope behringer addresses some of the above in future firmware updates, and/or with relevant options from within the synthtribe app.
I've been very happy with my Pro VS Mini, Pro-800, and Crave from behringer thus far. As for this one, I just think that with some updates it is possible to elevate it a bit more.
