I use it for a bluegrass mandolin, as a stage stand for gigs. This is a very good quality product overall, solid, good looking and well-made. Yes, there are more "stable" bigger vertical stands, but the big advantage of this is that, when folded, it fits into my mandolin gigbag front pocket. And it's perfectly stable when placed over an even surface and not knocked.
