Evans 20" dB One Drum Head BD

I'd seen some videos online pitching the benefits of these heads as a game changer for those players who want an acoustic kit without the volume. I myself have family and neighbours to consider when jamming all hours of the day and these heads have transformed practice for me by providing all the feel and rebound of a standard head with a fraction of the volume. They sound good too, letting my poplar/birch shells resonate and sing in the same way they would with standard heads. I have been massively impressed.

Very easy to tune, and really gives a nice tone, but still quiet enough to practice in near silence. Top Evans quality, but at a price: it's not cheap!
