Fantastic bass and great value for money!
I purchased this bass as essentially a trial after having an American Jazz Ultra 5-string that had recurring technical issues.
It's Mexican-made and has active noiseless pickups. I wasn't sure if the difference in price (~€1500) would reflect a difference in quality, so I went in 'blind' with the intention of returning it if it didn't serve its purpose... it does and then some!
It's a superb bass that feels and sounds much closer to the Jazz Ultras than the price would suggest. The neck feels great. The balance from the open B string to the 20th fret of the G is fantastic. It's present in the mix no matter where on the neck you're playing. You could argue the stock strings aren't brilliant, but I was happy to use them until they dulled down. You can change those yourself if you feel it's needed immediately.
If you're looking for a great-sounding, great-playing Fender without going above and beyond with cost then this is the bass for you. Couldn't be happier with this purchase!
