Great Stratocaster for the price

- Edit - I liked the first one I bought from Thomann, that I have now bought another Squier Affinity Stratocaster to mod and upgrade.

I bought this Squier Affinity Strat to practice playing and to
upgrade n mod. It is really a great guitar for its price.
The guitar arrived in two safe boxes from Thomann and in great condition as always.
The overall paint finish is really good , as is the neck which is very smooth and comfortable to play. Great quality finish and quality maple wood.
The frets are very well placed and very smooth.
The pickups do sound nice. At this moment I cannot complain about
the original 2-point tremolo system or the tuners, as they are working very good. They also seem to be made of very good metal/nickel parts. No flaws in them and its keeping in tune when using the tremolo bar alot.
One thing that is a must to be changed on these low-priced instruments is the guitar nut saddle (even though this one is very well cut to shape), later it will be swapped for a better Real Bone-nut or a Graph-Tech
Tusq version. I believe everyone could get a better sounding guitar with a better real bone-nut saddle.
Overall, I give this Squier Affinity Stratocaster a score of 9 out of 10.
It is worth buying one or even two.
Great for beginners as well as pro guitar players.

Guitar came set up like a dream. No correction is needed. Low action and great playability. Frets leveled beautifully. Only pickups could be better but overall great Stratocaster for a low price.

Fender squire affinity made in China- Photo non contractuelle

Elle nécessite quelques réglages au début (cordes qui frisent, je vous conseille de la changer) mais reste une très bonne guitare rapport qualité-prix. Idem que sur les autres commentaires, les frettes sont coupantes et dépassent vraiment, étonnant pour une Squier. Un passage chez le luthier est nécessaire (60€ de plus !). Grosse déception par contre, elle est vendue sur le site de Thomann comme "made in indonesia" mais à la réception c'est en fait une "made in China" de base. Elle reste très bien faite, le concept Fender Strat est très bien respecté. Bien emballée heureusement car le transporteur est arrivé avec un carton défoncé. Parfaite pour débuter (et même pour des joueurs plus aguerris) avec un petit budget.

Vielleicht waren meine Erwartungen überzogen, aber von der Verarbeitung des Halses war ich sehr enttäuscht. Die Bünde waren super scharfkantig überstehend und die Einstellung eine Katastrophe. Nichts was man nicht richten konnte, aber ein Anfänger ist damit überfordert und kann so nicht spielen. Das Finish selber ist sehr gut. Die Mechaniken nerven, da sie den Ton nicht halten. Die Pick ups recht beliebig, aber ok. Man bekommt, was man zahlt.
