Fryette Bungled this
Genghis Ghost 17.09.2026
The product arrived to me functioning well and looking great! Steven Fryette announced upon the release of this that full midi implementation is in the works and that there should be an update for it to run on Midi CC commands. This seemed like the most full featured product.
Upon arriving, i first noticed that the supposedly “transparent” input buffer is anything but and it ruined the playing feel and touch response of the guitar (something Steven Fryette in particular should know all about). Thankfully, the passive input in the back bypasses the buffer. But now the front panel input is useless. That shouldn’t be enough to ruin my experience.
Now, when the time has come to implement midi in my setup, it turns out that there has been a HARDWARE revision that was silent. So now i’m stuck having to program every amp, cab, and inpedence combination as global presets in order to use midi. This is dispicable.
For all who want to order one, make sure you get v2a and not v2.
