Works good all in all
Doesn’t mute the strings totally when you put it over the nut (if you want to use the first fret) but on the first fret for example is fine. Definitely helps kill unwanted sounds while recording

Does the job
Using it on my 6 strings EHB1506MS ibanez bass. It is just working fine at half the price of the Gruvgear one
