Golden Age Audio Project PRE-73 MKIV

Bought this to improve the input chain in my home setup, and to bypass my spiky onboard preamps. It is probably one of the best value for money audio products I have used yet.

It particularly excels as a vocal preamp and a DI. I found it had smoother mid range than my Yamaha onboards, and guitars become incredibly thick and punchy with the input gain cranked.

Overall it doesn't distort quite as nicely as a 1073, ultimately missing those shimmering highs, but at this price point you really won't mind.

The sound of this speaker is still very delicate, I like it very much, but the density is a little bit lacking
