Design issues
Couldn't open it with my finger/nail. I used gold Gotoh tuners on my high-end bass guitar previously so I had belief in this brand but this battery compartment has some design issues IMO. Also, it is not flush flat when you close the lid. Also, it feels a little flimsy and feels like it will break easily. The two little screws inside the housing for mounting on the instrument body is a clever idea however as mentioned I would use some glue to secure it in addition to little screws.
It is good for 18v mods though, because you can place two of these side by side by the help of a narrow form factor.

Needs very careful installation
Like all these battery boxes, the plastic rim around the edge is very narrow, making the routing out of the cavity needing to be very accurate.

Perfect replacement for MIJ Jackson RR24
Had to replace the battery box on a Japanese Jackson RR24 and was happy to find that this is an exact replacement. East to install and works great.

Perfect fit for my 90s SR
I’m so happy to have found this battery box at Thomann for a good price! It’s a perfect fit for my 90s Ibanez Soundgear bass, in which the metal connectors of the old battery box started to erode. This was a 1:1 high quality replacement and came with everything included.
