Cymbal Dampers
Anthony7199 15.02.2016
I was actually shocked how good these were when I put them on my cymbals. I have one for a crash and another for my ride. It reduces the sound massively making it a lot easier to practice without making too much noise.
Depending on how hard you strike the cymbal, it can still emanate some overtones very lightly. But that also depends on whether you want to hit the pad or the exposed metal.
Personally, I think it's better to have the option whether you want to hit the pad or the metal of the cymbal so you can really feel the impact with the stick. It makes a bit more noise but that's really the only trade-off.
I think any drummer (especially beginners) who has to be conscience of the noise and times they practice/play would benefit a lot from getting these so they don't have to hold back or hesitate with striking the cymbal.

Bought 5 of these. It reduces the sound greatly allowing me to practice at home without making too much noise (very happy neighbours!).
You have the option whether to hit the pad or the metal of the cymbal so you can really feel the impact better. It makes a tad more noise when hitting the metal.
No complaints with regards to the quality of the material.

Very quiet, Feels ok to hit
Sissyjer 15.01.2021
This cuts a crazy amount of volume from any cymbal and it doesn't feel bad to hit. Keep in mind that you'll still be able to hear the cymbal and your neighbors might hear it too but it won't be bothersome.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to practice quietly!

Works well on my electronic cymbals too...
Red<3NL 05.12.2023
I used these on my Roland electronic cymbals and hihats to help quieten the clonking noise that you can hear even with headphones on. They are not quite as responsive (obviously) but if the aim is to keep the acoustic volume down then these are just what you need.

Evans so-cymbal sound off damper
Anónimo 04.03.2016
I Purchased this cymbal sound off for the cymbals on a pearl target kit which is in a bedroom in the house so it's important to keep the sound down during practice ,they are made of a thick rubber material which is very durable when playing the sound is reduced significantly ,the feel isn't a natural feel of hitting a cymbal and the styles you can play with it on are limited ,it's very easy to put on and off ,it does do what it's meant to which is dampen the sound but don't expect it to sound the same as an undampened cymbal.

Does exactly what it is for

I use it for the ride, you can hit him on the rubber to have a full damper effect, or on the uncovered metal part and you have a less sounding one for a short bell sound.
