Outstanding sound for modern styles

I’ve been playing the Ibanez BTB605-TGF for a few months now, and honestly, it’s exceeded every expectation I had when I bought it.

The first thing that stands out is the build quality — this bass feels incredibly solid and premium. The neck is super comfortable, especially for a 5-string, and the neck-through construction gives it amazing sustain and stability. Even during long sessions, it stays smooth and easy to play, which is a huge plus.

Sound-wise, this thing is an absolute beast. The tonal range is massive — from deep, punchy lows to clear, articulate highs. Whether I’m playing tight metal lines, groovy fingerstyle, or even slap, it handles everything effortlessly. The pickups and EQ give you so much control that you can really dial in your own signature sound.

Another thing I love is how well it sits in a mix. It cuts through when needed but never sounds harsh or muddy. It’s equally great for studio work and live performance.

Visually, it’s also a stunner. The finish looks even better in person, and it definitely turns heads.

Overall, this bass feels like a professional-level instrument at a very reasonable price. Reliable, versatile, and inspiring to play — I genuinely look forward to picking it up every time.

Not my first five-string, but it looks and feels much better than my other one, I'm looking forward to the years of playing it I will have. MY only issue is the sharp edge where my right forearm rests while playing.
