Great 1st guitar for my daughter

I ordered the Jackson minion for my 8 yr old daughter as she was finding it almost impossible to play a full sized guitar.

The size of the neck is ideal and after a couple of days my daughter already feels more confident at learning to play electric guitar.

Sound quality is really good and actually surprising considering the price. Build quality is also good and the guitar is rather comfortable to play, like any standard Jackson strat.

Overall a really good 1st guitar for kids and I would highly recommend it.

Die Dinky Minion ist eine sehr leichte und somit praktisch transportierbare Shortscale. Der flache Hals mit sauber abgeschliffenen Bünden ermöglicht ein tolles Spielgefühl.
Die Tonabnehmer liefern einen angenehm anschlagsdynamischen sowie durchsetzungsfähigen Sound von Clean bis High Gain.
Vielfältige Zerrsounds lassen (sofern man ordentliche Saiten aufgezogen hat) sich durch die 2 outputstarken Humbucker finden, die auch bei gainreichen Metalriffs in tieferen Stimmungen für Druck sorgen.

Ebenfalls sehr gut: Eine feste Brücke und String- through Konstruktion ? effizient, sustainreich. optimal justierbar.

Negativ aufgefallen ist, dass Klinkenbuchse und Stimmmechaniken nicht festgezogen waren. Generell lässt die Werkseinstellung in Bezug auf Hals und Bridge (bzw. Saitenlage und Oktavreinheit) zu wünschen übrig (erfordert zu viel Kenntnisse und Aufwand für Anfänger). Die Qualitätskontrolle finde ich bei meiner daher insgesamt als unzureichend.

Letztendlich wurde ich trotz der kleinen Verarbeitungsdefizite aber nicht enttäuscht. Sie ist zwar nicht ganz bundrein und schnarrt ein wenig, das fällt für meine Zwecke und vor allem in Relation zum Preis jedoch nicht allzu schlimm ins Gewicht. Üben und Ideen finden, ob Zuhause, bei der Probe oder unterwegs, die kleine Jackson ist praktisch und kann mit einer angenehmen Bespielbarkeit sowie einem guten Sound punkten.

Very good for the price

It needed some work on the nut and the neck but its a good little guitar I use when traveling.
It's a jackson so it's made for rock n roll more than for jazz ;)

Évidemment, à ce prix-là, il ne faut pas être exigeant.
Les bémols sont un peu la finition, et beaucoup le maintien de l'accordage.
Néanmoins, pour 170€, je suis quand même agréablement surpris.
Le toucher est plutôt agréable.
Une petite guitare facile à jouer, et bien sûr très légère.
Et bien sûr, elle est plutôt jolie !
Bref, à ce prix-là, je ne suis pas déçu.
C'est plutôt positif dans l'ensemble.
