This could be used for myriad things. In my case, I have used it to attach to microphone preamplifier to K&M’s laptop stand, which keeps everything off the ground while recording on location. The DAV BG1 stereo preamp fits perfectly, as if tailor-made.

As is typical for K&M, the quality is very good and the look is simple and discrete. The only (minor) flaw is that the rubber cushions on the mounting bracket have a habit of coming unglued, which has been true of all their stand-mount devices. Luckily, K&M have been aware of this problem and have developed a new rubber protective cap that is being phased into their products. New deliveries may have this problem fixed.
