K&M 14047 Multi Purpose Stool

Very solidly built with nice matte black finishing on the metal parts. Stool is stable and wouldn't shake or squeak even with aggressive playing. Seat cushion is generous & very comfortable. Been playing on many stools, benches, sofas, bed & even coffee table. This will definitely end my search for the perfect guitar throne. It will be perfect if the footrest can be adjusted without the need of using a wrench. This stool is not in the lightweight category, however it sits on my music room, so its weight poses no problem to me.

No doubt it is a bit pricey compare to other stools in the market but I will be spending long hours sitting on it practising, so comfort is my utmost priority. Worth every $ paid for.

I've pair it with K&M 14032 Backrest. It almost come close to a perfect guitar stool!

I couldn't find anything as solid as this stool here in my home town, so I had to look further away. I use this stool for orchestral double bass work and find it very comfortable even for long sessions. The solid construction means it doesn't creak and squeak etc, even if I'm getting restless during long rehearsals.

The stool is quite heavy, which obviously comes along with the solid construction. I also have the 14042 Back-rest for this stool, which makes it even heavier and somewhat awkward to carry around. Fortunately I usually only have to carry it into and out of a venue once for an extended show, but this is not for the 'mobile' musician in my opinion.

Fantastic stool and it makes me the envy of many of my colleagues.

I bought this to have a consistent perch for solo acoustic singer gigs rather than relying on whatever stool the venue may or may-not have — but have ended up using it at home and for recording.

It’s stable, silent, solid and safe. It won’t make any noise in your recordings or live mics and you can set both the height and footrest to give you the perfect ‘lean whilst standing’ as well as seat.

I play large-bodied jumbo and baritone acoustic guitars almost in the classical position, neck up but with a strap and the guitar’s bottom bout almost between my thighs. This stool is the best thing I’ve ever found for doing this comfortable and I have played two-and-a-bit hours straight through for three nights in a row using it and everything felt great at the end.

I have only deducted one star, and for a personally embarrassing reason — the imitation leather seat gives me a sweaty backside. I am a large sweaty guy in general and it’s been hot here in the UK and Brittany/Normandy over the period since my seat has arrived, so it might not affect everyone, but if I bought it again I’d get the cloth seat rather than the ‘leather’.

But it’s very, very well-designed, and looks like it’ll last a long time. Recommended!
