Embouchure de Bugle au vieux standard français

Dur de trouver des embouchures pour un Couesnon des années 60/70.
Celle ci est de bonne qualité et donne un beau son typique de Bugle avec sa cuvette profonde en V.

Couesnon - Maße beachten

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem passenden Mundstück für mein altes (1924er) Couesnon-Flügelhorn. Bisher spielte ich mit einem Kornettmundstück, dessen Schaft etwas zu klein war und das auch nicht den richtigen Kessel hatte. Das Mundrohr an meinem Instrument ist zylindrisch und im Durchmesser kleiner als bei der deutschen Passform.

Leider wird hier bei Thomann kein Maß angegeben, jedenfalls ist das Bobby Shew fast zu groß im Durchmesser, passt nur knapp rein und steckt nur 1-2 mm fest !!! Das Mundrohr musste ich jetzt komplett einfahren, was die Stimmungskorrektur nach oben unmöglich macht.

Das Mundstück selbst ist sehr sauber verarbeitet, Klang und Intonation sind absolut klasse und passend zu meiner alten Kanne :-))
Aus diesem Grund behalte ich das Bobby Shew auch !!!

Embouchure de bugle

Une des rares embouchures compatibles avec les bugles Couesnon. On retrouve l'expressivité et le son de l'embouchure d'origine. Un très bon rapport qualité-prix.

Wonderful mouthpiece for Couesnon shank Flugels

The fit was perfect in my Belgian built Persy Flugel from 1960, It has Couesnon type french shank (straight tube ending in a radius toward the cup).

The mouthpiece has a semiround rim a bit more rounded than Bach.
It is fairly easy blowing with good opening.
It is somewhat shallower than some flugel mouhtpieces but still has that full flugel tone I like.
Intonation is good!

I think this mouthpiece is perfect for Jazz.

What more could you want for your old French style flugel :)
