I bought the Millenium 13" Energy Hoop II 2.3mm BN to replace the die-cast hoops on my snare. Since I have a nickel black snare, these hoops were the perfect aesthetic match. The moment I tested the hoop by resting it on my finger and tapping it with a drumstick, I noticed a full, pleasant tone resonating from it - a sign of good quality.

After installation, my snare now has a noticeably fatter sound, which I absolutely love. The improved sound, combined with the sleek black nickel finish, has elevated both the tone and look of my drum.

As someone who plays hard rimshots, I’m also satisfied with the durability of the nickel plating during these two months of usage. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their snare’s sound and appearance.
