Miraphone G170102 Gig Bag Tuba

I am an amateur tuba player in Japan. I needed a gig bag for my Miraphone 88. It fits the instrument perfectly.

Compared to other soft cases (like Supersac, Protec, Gard Bags, etc.), the padding is thicker and sturdier, providing better protection for the instrument. It's also surprisingly lightweight for its durability.

It has two pockets, large and small. The larger one holds sheet music, while the smaller one can store the mouthpiece, oil, etc. If I had to point out one improvement, the pocket for the mouthpiece would be more convenient if it were on the bell cover (incidentally, the previous Miraphone gig bag had it there).

Vorweg: meine gebrauchte Miraphone-Tuba (Modell weiß ich leider nicht) entspricht von den Maßen her nicht exakt den Größenangaben der Produktbeschreibung. Meine Tuba ist 102 cm hoch, der Schall hat einen Durchmesser von 43 cm. Der Gig Bag ist laut Produktangabe 99 cm hoch und 47 cm im Durchmesser. Ich habe mich daher vorher telefonisch bei Thomann erkundigt, ob es überhaupt sinnvoll ist, dieses Modell zu bestellen, und wurde dabei freundlich und kompetent beraten - allerdings mit dem Hinweis, das bei Gig Bags, die nicht maßangefertigt sind immer ein wenig "Spiel" einzukalkulieren ist. Hat aber zum Glück gepasst und ist wirklich ein schickes Teil. Verarbeitung sieht gut aus, kann sicher aber erst in ein paar Monaten seriös beurteilt werden, ebenso wie die Stabilität.

Ein kleiner Nachteil: bisher hatte ich immer Tubabags mit einer kleinen Tasche im Deckel für das Mundstück. Ist hier nicht integriert. Dafür ist die Tasche auf der Vorderseite sehr geräumig für Noten.

Encantado con esta funda tanto por su calidad aunque tenga un precio elevado y por su grandisima comodidad la hora de cargar la tuba en la espalda, así como muchisimo espacio en los bolsillos para meter libros y accesorios, y sobretodo siendo semirigida el instrumento lleva la campana muy bien protegida y el resto del cuerpo de la tuba igualmente, por mi parte muy pero que muy recomendable esta funda.
