very pleasing sounding instrument, on recording session it gives a heavy groove due to the large beads. can be loud and works well on stage & easly heard/
if you are looking for a soft sounding shaker i thing there are better options. the only quality issue is the rubber cups that holds the beadsin the the metal tube. it feels it could have been sturdier
