Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Violin E Gold BE

I have been using Pirastro strings for at least 40 years now. I have occasionally tried out different brands but I don't even try anymore. Pirastro strings are simply the best. I only swap from Evah Pirazzi to Wondertone to obligato. That is it. The sound is fantastic. It is hard to describe. A little like describing wine. But let's say it completely brightens up my violin.
There is one small downside and that is a tendency for the E string to whistle when one doesn't have the perfect attack.
I bought this set after buying a fake set! Not here but on another website. I didn't even know that it was possible. Pirastro have been great in confirming that they were not genuine. Anyway Thomann sells the genuine article, so no worries there.
I ordered these in a big order so I didn't need to pay for postage. It would be the icing on the cake if Thomann had a special lower postage rate for a packet of strings.
If the Evahs are a little outside your budget try the violino. Some of my students use those or the tonica or synoxa.
