A very flexible instrument
I can't talk much in depth in terms of its features as I have not been using this instrument for very long, but after all the firmware updates that it had, and there still could be more to come, the amount of options you have simply outclass any other sampler or sequencer at the same price range.
The fact that it can also stream audio to a computer via usb c, and can handle both mono and stereo inputs has also turned it into an audio interface on its own, which is very practical if you plan on travelling with it. It is less gear to worry about.
All in all, Roland has been killing it with the updates and its really worth its price.

Old School, but modern!
I bought the SP mainly for live shows, since the effects are pretty amazing.
It handles quite well, the knobs have very good quality and the device itself feels really well built.
I have tried beat making with it, but it takes time and patience to get into if you are coming from a DAW.
But for now, and for the purpose that I use it, I'm happy with it.
If you are playing live, it does it's charm, but I would recommend pairing it with a Maschine+ maybe
Overall, excellent product.
