Sonor's 2000 range inferior to 100

I have a straight cymbal stand in Sonor's 100 range. This range seems to be discontinued now. That cymbal stand is great, it is very sturdy, folds away to a really small size and is very, very light. It's great! I was looking for another or if not a boom stand with similar spec and this (2000) was the closest I could find. It is not as lightweight (although to be expected as it is a little bigger) but it is also not as secure and has a fair amount of wobble for a cymbal stand. My biggest issue with it however is that when it is folded away it is still very tall. The 100 stand folds away into such a small space, it's great.
If it wouldn't have cost so much to return (from Scotland) I would have sent it back.
I have gigged with it however and it does the job just fine and thankfully I have a long hardware bag so it's size is not really an issue but when you compare it to Sonor's 100 range it's just not in the same league.

Using this as a closed hi-hat / bell stack. Really handy to be able to set legs flat on the floor. No need to fiddle around with other stands near by.

I got 3 MBS LT 2000 V2. I have Paiste Cymbals. 22" Formula 602 Ride,18" Giant Beat Crash Ride and 20" Paite 2002 Thin Crash.Sonor MBS LT 2000 V2 Cymbal Boom Stand is brilliant!! It's a slim silhouette,Long Leg,good weight,nice balance,soft cymbal sounds.
I change the Cymbal clamp to Sonor Quick Cymbal Clamp M8 2-Pack,it is pretty good.I swear to you,Sonor MBS LT 2000 V2 Cymbal Boom Stand is amazing vintage stile items.
