Surprisingly strong
I have two of these now, have mounted a 20" ride and 16" china which I ride/crash on breakdowns and it never got lose. I expected it loosened after a while but held up after eight hours in the studio.

One word - Tama
I use it even though my drums are not Tama. Its compact, light, sturdy and gives you total flexibility with your small cymbals setup.
