What's in a name... vintage Tascam vs contemporary brand name
Bought this deck after listening to reviews on the internet and remembering the brand name's reputation. The experience was disappointing for me , being someone having experienced the golden days of audiocassette decks... The Tascam does its job, it has many features one could consider to be useful, but imho they could have done better by skipping some of these functions in favour of a better quality transport. But yeah... since there are currently zero quality alternatives, if you must buy new, then by all means, go for this machine.
