WARNING: Squire Tele owners, check your bridge plate mounting hole dimensions!
I have managed to install this on Squire 60's Classic Vibe Thinline, but it was a LOT of work. I think it's all to do with this VegaTrem being designed with the original Fender US/imperial dimensions, and the Squire factories using metric. It means that the two mounting holes will ever so slightly be out, and you won't be able to install the vegatrem correctly. In the end, I had to plug one of the holes with a hardwood dowel+glue, and re-drill a new one. There is ZERO tolerence with this stuff, so the hardest thing is getting it 100% correctly measured and drilled. Also, the 6 string holes were too narrow for VegaTrem's springs! So I had to slightly enlarge the holes with a drill.
So I would say, first look up the exact dimensions of the proper fender vintage bridge plate, and check if your guitar has them. Even if it is off by 1-2mm, it's not going to work without modding above!
OTHERWISE: Very good first impressions with the VegaTrem. I was worried about other people's reviews about tuning stability and the 'stiffness' of the arm. I'm used to a Bigsby, and this seems pretty similar. It does take more time to fine-tune it though.

Vega-Trem VT2 Teletrem
Just installed the VT2 and wanted to share some thoughts. Overall, the quality is top-notch and it looks killer on the guitar. The installation was a total breeze, and so far, it’s holding the tuning really well.
How it feels:
Range-wise, it’s very reminiscent of a Bigsby. The action is quite stiff, which is exactly what I was after. This isn't a trem for dive bombs; it’s a high-quality alternative to a Bigsby or Maestro Vibrola, made for those subtle, atmospheric wobbles.
What I liked:
The "Hardtail" vibe: One thing I hate about standard trems is that "rubbery" feeling where the guitar loses its snap. The VT2 doesn't have that—it still feels like a solid hardtail under your hand.
No Flutters: You can't do flutters on this, but that’s a plus for me. It feels stable.
Palm Mutes: You can palm mute as hard as you want without being paranoid about going out of tune, unlike a Floyd or a standard floating bridge.
Bending: Keep in mind that on heavy bends, the other strings will shift a bit, just like on a Bigsby.
A small heads-up on the delivery:
The box arrived already opened—not sure if it was a quality check by Thomann or if customs got curious, but it was definitely unsealed. Also, I noticed a tiny, barely visible scratch under the saddles. It’s not a dealbreaker and you can’t see it unless you're looking for it, but worth mentioning for a premium piece of gear.
All in all, if you want that classic vibrato feel without the headache of a traditional tremolo, this is it.
