Best drum kit in that price range!
After using my Yamaha Stage Custom Birch kit for a while now I have to give it my best recommendation. Those drums offer professional sound and quality for a really great price. In my opinion these are the best drums in that price range. Full and punchy birch sound, really great hardware on the shells and really professional finish.
I got the Raven Black colour that looks great with the bright coloured badges on the shells. Also a really Yamaha offer add on drums from 8" to 24" on the series.

No brainer
I've been playing this kit for about 2 years, mostly hard rock/metal and soft folk and let me tell you it is an absolute beast of a kit. I get compliments on this kit whenever it's used at a venue, it just sounds great. Even the snare sounds expensive. This kit is the Glock of the drum world. If you're thinking of buying this kit and don't have the money for something more expensive I command you to buy it.
