Since I received "Connect", I never looked back to the remote. Ease of use is the most important factor. Push the button and ready to go. Especially with an ipad that has the extra screen size, it's amazing how easy it's to setup your lights.

A must have addition if you invest in the ApeLabs ecosystem. So much better control over your lights in comparison to the remote.

I purchased some ape lab minis to go along with my parcans. This device allows such better control if my ape labs via the app then the ape labs remote. More importantly it allows control of my non ape lab lights over dmx and can create a cohesive light show. You can tweak the colours (by creating your own colour profiles) for non ape lab lights if they are lacking the lovely warm white (RGBWW) to get slightly closer in tone of you wish. This is the perfect middle step between built in auto mode and a full software or outbound dmx controller unit. This also has dmx in should you wish to eventually upgrade to a software/outboard solution. This controls their led bars but not this party moving heads (as to be expected) at the time of reviewing. Battery life is good, and runs on the same single battery that the ape labs mini does. Thoroughly recommended.
