Great sound. That's all

This guitar sounds great, but I was very disappointed with the finish on the guitar. I thought you would be able to feel the grain on the top, but it has a thick layer of matt finish on top, which looks awful when it catches the light. It kinda looks like a print of wood grain but I'm sure it's not, just a thin layer of spruce wood.

The machine heads/tuners are not too great either. Doesn't stay in tune. I will be replacing those.

I think I will sand down the matt finish down to the wood and apply a glossier finish.

Le misure dello strumento sono 102 x 38 x 10,5, il che significa che la dimensione è quella di una Grand Orchestra, non esattamente una folk. Lo scrivo qui perchè le misure non sono dichiarate nemmeno sul sito del produttore e servono se dovete comprare una custodia e vale per tutte le chitarre di questa serie (X11L, S sta per Spruce o M per Mahogany, F per Folk e le lettere successive per la colorazione).
La chitarra è assolutamente splendida, molto più bella che nelle immagini dimostrative, ben costruita e non presenta nessuna sbavatura.
La peculiarità di questa chitarra è che il nut è 46 mm, il che porta la spaziatura tra le corde ad essere importante ed è perfetta per chi fa fingerstyle e ha le mani abbastanza grandi. Anche il profilo del manico è adatto a chi ha mani importanti (come me).
Ha un bellissimo suono e un'ottima proiezione nonostante il top sia comunque in laminato e non in massello.
Le meccaniche sono esteticamente molto belle anche se non al top. Si comportano comunque più che bene.
Considerando il prezzo a cui viene proposta è uno strumento davvero eccellente e finalmente pensato per rendere la vita un po' più facile a chi ha mani grandi.
