I've had this guitar for half a year at this point and while the specs should make it my favorite instrument, the quality really lets it down.
Positives:
- the neck profile is an absolute joy to play, quite thin, but not too thin, huge frets, rounded edges, compound radius, one of the most comfortable necks I've played
- it looks awesome, the color is bright and deep, paintjob is good and durable (I banged it on furniture a few times and it didn't ding at all)
- light
- sounds great (though maybe a bit too bright)
Negatives:
- the fretboard wood is bad. it shrank quite a bit, to the point where some of the finish on the side started to peel, frets sprouted, making it pretty unplayable (none of my other guitars had this issue, so it's probably not a climate problem)
- frets were pretty scratchy
- leveling job was not great
- frets were a bit sharp even before the shrinkage
- tuners are average
- gigbag
Overall, I think the design and features are awesome, but the execution lets it down.
For 1100 bucks, you shouldn't have to fix a new guitar.
