Shield connected to pins 1 and 3
The shield is connected to both pins 1 and 3 of the XLR connector. Pin 2 is connected to the signal wire.
As must be expected for this price, the cable itself is very thin compared to typical XLR cables. So I expect it will work for longer when deployed for fixed installations.
