I first encountered these strings on a bass of one of my jazz teachers. They are supple and clear. Great sound for pizzicato.
I use the same bass for classical too - orchestra and solo work. They are excellent here too, they have a lovely sustain to them.
Whenever other people try this bass, they always comment on how good the strings are - they're right. The bass itself is not brilliant quality but good enough and these strings have made a really big difference, I used to have Pirastro (not sure which model) and these Zyex give me a brighter, cleaner sound with more sustain.
If you can afford them, they're well worth it. They make a 2000 Euro instrument sound and play like a 7000 Euro one.

Der Sound geht leicht in Richtung Darmsaite. Einzig beim Arco-Spiel hätte ich mir eine leichtere Ansprache und einen satteren Ton erhofft. Aber man kann nicht alles haben. Auf jeden Fall sind sie ihr Geld wert!!

Cela fait 3 mois que j'utilise les Zyex : excellent compromis entre la facilité de jeu (cordes souples) et le son (puissance et sustain).
Attention : son agressif les premiers jours ; les monter une semaine avant de jouer sur scène ou enregistrer.
J'avais utilisé précédemment des Presto Jazzicato : très agréables à jouer aussi mais les Zyex sonnent nettement mieux.
