I was looking for a paremetric EQ for a while and when I crossed the MK2, I kept it on my radar until I got it a couple of months ago.
It is a ground breaking pedal that came to stay and I could not be happier.
For my use and what I needed the MK2 is a perfect fit for now. It allows me to shape my tone as I need, either for rehearsing, live or even recordings with my band.

Built as a tank, very responsive and straight forward. I strongly recommend this as a must have
For a few reasons I did not choose the Deluxe version. But am keen to try it eventually.

If there is one negative feature I woukd highlight is the db knobs lack a bit of resistance, it can easy move depending how you carry your pedal board.

Anyways, I don’t regret pur hasing it and it will bardly leave my pedal board

Great amp parter

I wanted to even out some resonant peaks before the pre amp and this has been perfect.
It’s super easy to find the sweet spot that you’re looking for. The narrow q is very precise and is very effective for cleaning any peak frequencies.
The gain cut and boost is huge per band. You can really overdo it. Without even touching the boost switch you could get into the “Shellac” tone territory.
Then the boost switch has enough juice to drive any amp.

Negatives:
I wish I bought the plus. The 3 bands alone are amazing. I would like to have a separate cut and shelf in the highs and lows.
Secondly, the boost function only works when the eq is on.
Finally the pots are a little too sensitive. It’s easy to nudge them.

Ich nutze den EQ sowohl in der Signalkette meiner Akustikgitarre (Maton Mini Diesel), als auch im Fx-Loop meines Rex- Preamps (Vocal-Chain) und bin hellauf begeistert. Mit Hilfe des EQ lassen sich ganz gezielt und überaus effektiv nervige Frequenzen herausfiltern bzw. unterrepräsentierte FQ betonen. Hierbei ist man nicht auf bestimmte Frequenzen limitiert, wie es bei vielen anderen EQ-Pedalen der Fall ist, was bisher meist zu unbefriedigenden Ergebnissen geführt hat. Die zusätzliche Möglichkeit, die Breite der FQ-Bänder auszuwählen, ermöglicht eine noch genauere Bearbeitung. Der veranschlagte Preis ist zwar etwas happig, aber mit Blick auf das Ergebnis gerechtfertigt. Einziges Manko: die Drehregler sind für meinen Geschmack etwas zu leichtgängig.

So, die Suche hat tatsächlich ein Ende. Was hab ich nicht schon an EQs ausprobiert. Bei allen graphischen Pedalen hatte ich immer das Gefühl, dass ich das Signal zwar bearbeite, aber auch immer was beimische, was ich nicht wollte. Das is mit dem hier vorbei.
Man kann exakt die gewünschten Frequenzen senken oder heben, ohne das ursprüngliche Signal gleichzeitig zu verkrisseln, sprich verschlechtern. Die Bearbeitungsbreite ist absoluter Wahnsinn. Die zu bearbeitende Kurve kann in drei verschiedenen Breiten bearbeitet oder sogar verbogen werden.
Durch die Boost Funktion kann ich mir jetzt sogar den Tubescreamer und den Kompressor auf dem Board sparen.
Der Preis is knackig, aber was besseres wird man für sein Geld nicht finden.
