Ernie Ball Papa Het´s Signature Strings

My biggest concern before buying these strings was that my feeble fingers wouldn't be able to handle the raw and destructive power of Hetfield's signature strings. Although I mostly play bass, the delicacy of thin guitar strings is soothing which makes strings of this gauge rather scary for E Standard tuning.

Despite all this, these strings have subverted my expectations incredibly! They were incredibly easy to install, coming in easily distinguishable and recyclable packaging for each string (no more figuring out which is which!).

After installing the strings and playing for awhile, I can safely say these will be my go-to strings for any occasion. The last three strings feel so incredibly gentle and soft to play, that I almost forget I'm flunking every solo while playing them. Meanwhile, the lower three strings have a phenomenal thickness to them that allows you to really dig in while hitting the nastiest over-distorted power chords you've ever heard.

On top of that, the thicker strings allow you to far more easily tune down your guitar so that you can drown out your bassist's lowest lows even more than you already have!

All of this makes for a dream team: The heavy-sounding noise you seek from higher gauges, with the comfort of smaller gauges. Combine them with a heavy guitar, and you'll never want to go back.
