This is an excellent guitar for its price, no doubt about it. The double binding gives it a distinct look most low tier Fenders would envy. A little tweaking of the lipstick pickup makes for a more balanced sound.
I got this for a little extra after a disappointing experience with the Black and Gold Anniversary Squier Tele. Unlike it, this guitar has a properly positioned neck and the high E string doesn't slide off with the slightest touch.
What I found was missing versus previous editions made in China is the actual ashtray cover and the better sounding brass saddles. Both are cheap and easy to find, but for another ten or twenty euros on the base price it would have been worth it to have these accessories right out of the box.
Fretboard wood was unevenly stained, but not so much you'd notice and can be fixed with proper guitar caring products. The finish has very minor imperfections which are only visible upon very close inspection. Like all Teles, it needs a little TLC for the right intonation, if yours isn't getting there take it to a tech. I find that the replacement of the saddles for compensated brass ones helped to get a more even intonation than with the original hardware.
