Genelec 7350 APM

This subwoofer seems very solidly built, works and sounds well.

I am using this sub to extend the bass response of a pair of 8330 monitors, which I am using as a home stereo system in 25 sq. m room. This not only relieved the monitors of having to produce bass frequencies, which probably resulted in clearer sound with decreased distortion, but it also enabled to solve the bass problem in my room. With the fixed position of the monitors and listening position, you can move the subwoofer around the room as much as the cables allow and find optimal position for it.

The calibration is an extremelly usefull tool, expecially in the bass region, where the room response can extremelly boost some frequencies.

As a result of being able to move the sub to the optimal position and calibration now I have flat bass response from cca 23 Hz to the crossover frequency (80 Hz). I bet not even a lot of studios have such a good sound as the one I have now.

Even this smallest subwoofer and second smallest monitors play better than any non calibrateable passive system for any price could, with the sound level of course limited by their size, but I would not be able to play louder anyway because of the neighbours.

I am very happy with this "small" 7350 sub and the whole system.

This is an excellent subwoofer, despite being the smallest in Genelec's lineup. You might initially be skeptical due to its extremely compact dimensions—at least until you hear it properly integrated into a system. It is important to note that a single unit will not yield satisfactory results; you won't be able to achieve proper phase integration, and it will rightly seem as though only the satellite speakers are producing that significantly cleaner sound—so you really need at least two of these subwoofers. I have been using them for several years in a room of approximately 23 square meters. They work excellently with both the 8330/8340 and 8331/8341 models... With careful GLM calibration and proper physical placement, Genelec 8330 monitors paired with two 7350 subwoofers in mono mode can deliver stunning results: an incredibly precise sense of depth and a true 3D soundstage, all without any strain or listener fatigue. However, achieving a good result requires considerable effort; do not give up after any initial setbacks—try all available combinations, and you will certainly succeed in the end.

While the price seems excessive (it did to me, considering the two monitors and the GLM kit were only 200 GBP more), it's worth the money.

The 7350 is a beast of a subwoofer, and while it won't go as low as Genelec's top of the range, it does the job pefectly. Paired with the 8320 and using the GLM kit v3, you get impactful low end, tailored to the room, and the monitors are saved from wasting energy on the low end.
