I have to conduct the orchestra for a high school musical once a year and was forever borrowing a colleagues baton. Last year I finally bit the bullet and bought one myself. I wanted a white one so directions could be more easily seen in a dark orchestra pit. This does that well.
At first I didn't like the feel of the cork handle but after a few sweaty rehearsals it softened a little (without flaking I must add) and made the whole baton much more tactile.
The little case is a real bonus too saves the baton from getting snapped in transit and helps me store it in the 10 months per year when I won't be using it!
