Gibraltar SC-HML105 Hinged Memory Clamp

Any drummer who has played a live show knows the danger of having a floor tom leg slip out mid-set. I've had plenty of instances where a 16" floor tom comes slamming against my leg because the fastener came lose from the vibration. These memory clamps were the perfect solution to that problem.

As of this review, I've got memory clamps on my cymbal boom arms, my floor tom legs, and also on the rack tom arms to mark the specific height I like them at. Any touring drummer knows that time is of the essence in a stage change and you'll be lucky if you're comfortable with your hasty setup. These clamps save me literal MINUTES of set up time compared to when I wasn't using them and everything is exactly where I want it.

Gibraltar has a great reputation in the drum hardware industry for having sturdy, well-built products. These clamps are no exception.

Do yourself a favor: Get a couple of these clamps on your rig and you'll wonder how you ever did without. Great product.

I use these for memory locks on cymbal booms and line them up with an easily recognised part of the arm for reference - the diameter on your arms (no, the boom ones, not your own...) should be checked though, if you want to try this - very important.

Also, I use them for tom and snare holder heights - strong and simple to use, especially if you are using one on a knurled part of the arm, they certainly hold tight when tightened (don't overdo this),

All said, nice useful little beasts - they are all over my kits - makes it simple to get those 'awkward things to get consistent on the kit' right!

Just for reference, I use top end Roland electronic kits and their booms, etc.

If you use them creatively, you'll be surprised what you can do with them...

Habe 6 Stk. dieser "Mini-Memory-Clamps" gekauft, da ich es leid war, die korrekte Position der Beine meiner beiden Standtoms bei jedem Setup neu einzurichten.

Man hat zwar die ungefähre Position im Kopf, aber es war halt trotzdem immer ein herumverstellen, bis es dann genau gepasst hat - das geht jetzt ruck-zuck-fertig. Dank meines Gator-Caddies (Artikelnummer 260243) habe ich die Bein-Sets getrennt in den beiden seitlichen Außentaschen, da gibt's auch kein studieren, welches Set zu welcher FT gehört - so spare ich jetzt viel Zeit beim Aufbau.

Wie bei Gibraltar gewohnt - solide, gute Verarbeitung.

Kleine Verbesserungsmöglichkeit: (Wurde glaube ich auch schon von anderen erwähnt) Man könnte auf einer Seite die "Nase" weglassen, dann sitzt es noch besser auf Fabrikaten, die keine Aufnahmen dafür haben.

Klare Kaufempfehlung, wenn man's braucht.
