Nice upgrade for a Squier Vintage Modified 70s Jazz Bass

I picked up a Squier Vintage Modified 70s Jazz Bass second hand and it had not been looked after very well. I decided to upgrade the bridge which was buzzing a lot and wouldn't stay in place. The Gotoh 201B-4 fits like a glove. It looks great, not very different from the original but it feels sturdier and overall better quality. The holes for the screws aligned perfectly but the screws themselves were bigger for the original bridge than the one provided with the Gotoh bridge. I reused them with the Gotoh and that worked without any issue, although at first glance it looked like they wouldn't fit through the holes of the Gotoh. The alternative would have been to fill the holes and drill some smaller ones which I couldn't see myself doing...

More Mass, traditional look

More substantial than the traditional Fender bent-metal bridges, but it still keeps the look mostly traditional, so if you're looking for a more solid bridge without changing the optics of your instrument too much, this might be for you.
Standard Fender 5-hole mounting, standard 19mm string spacing, so it's a drop-in replacement. Hex-key and mounting screws included. The small hex screws on the saddles run in grooves along the base, so there's less side-to-side movement of the saddles.
Personally, I don't hear much (if any) sound-difference on my P-Bass compared to the stock Fender bridge, but your mileage may vary if you're more sensitive to tiny differences.
Tiny annoyance is that Gotoh felt the need to visibly put their company-name on there... so keep that in mind if you're particular about that kind of thing.

Monté sur une Fender Précision Fretless de 79 car le chevalet d'origine avait bien vécu avec des traces d'oxydation.
Mis en place sans problème et rapidement.
Pas vraiment de différence de sons.
La qualité est là ! Pas un défaut d'aspect, le chromage est très propre la plaque est bien plate. Les pontets sont quasiment au plus bas sur E et G (fretless) mais ça passe. Facile à régler et moins "massif" d'aspect qu'un Babicz.
