This Gotoh, this jack plate is top-notch quality—solid, well-made, and of course, made in Japan. It fits perfectly and does exactly what it’s supposed to. No issues whatsoever with installation or alignment.

My only gripe—and it’s the same one I had with the aged neck plate—is the relic job. I was hoping for something with a little more character, maybe some light corrosion or more visible wear. Instead, it’s just got a few faint scuff marks that honestly look like something I could’ve done myself on a new plate with a bit of steel wool. Not exactly the “aged” look I was expecting.

Still, quality-wise, it’s excellent. Just be aware that “aged” in this case means barely broken in—not road-worn.
