Harley Benton Feeler Gauges

Guitar players need this tool. It should be part of every players tool kit.
This set of feeler gauges is perfect for setting up both USA-made and import instruments (Guitars and Bass).
This Harley Benton precise set of feeler gauges is perfect for measuring string action, nut slot depths, fret slot width, string to fret clearance, and other critical guitar and bass measurements.
It can also be used as another type of very
useful tool --> a "Bone Nut Saw".
This is what you can do... You can use a small disc on a Dremmel tool
and cut very small notches on the feeler gauges to make them into
small precise "Nut Saws". These small "saws" can then be used to CUT bone for when you are making a new Bone Nut for your guitar (or bass).
Each feeler gauge has a certain width , which is useful to cut the bone Nut to the same width as your guitar strings. For the Thicker strings you
can tie together 2 or 3 , or more feeler gauges to the same size/width
as your guitar strings :)

Tal como já foi referenciado noutras reviews, as peças são afiadas, no entanto não cortam se forem manejadas com cuidado. Em outras reviews também já foi referido que todas as peças vêm embebidas exageradamente num lubrificante, percebo o objectivo do mesmo, facilita que as peças deslizem entre si facilmente, o que facilita a procura da peça que se precisa, tarefa por vezes difícil visto ser um conjunto com o número elevado de peças, talvez i lubrificante também queira evitar a formação de ferrugem. Pessoalmente retirei a maior parte do lubrificante com um pano, pois era incómodo, fiquei com as mãos cobertas de óleo.
À parte das duas situações descritas acima, que para mim têm muito pouca relevância, o leque diversificado de medidas e a robustez da ferramenta na minha opinião mereceria a melhor avaliação possivel, mas não consigo dar nota máxima no acabamento, no entanto na relação preço qualidade, está excelente.
