Nice quality, they fit the contemporary model

These machines are well made. I took a risk with these hoping that they would fit my (early) CT 500/1 Contemporary Violin Bass. They do, the distance between centres is exactly the same as the holes but you will need different bushes.

The nice thing about the strip tuners, is that although they aren't historically correct for this particular model, and possibly not as good as the Hofner single tuners, they do cover the holes where the very poor Wilkinson tuners were fitted to my early Contemporary bass. I understand later models have better machines.

this product not perfect but should do the work for your hofner bass. but actually i do not think that it is worth that amount of money. take a chance only if you want to experiment or replace your cheap parts

Diese Mechaniken habe ich für meinen Höfner-Bass gekauft, um ihn optisch noch ein wenig älter zu machen. Ab dem 63er Bass gab es vier einzelne Mechaniken, die zudem in verschiedenen Versionen heraus kamen. Mal waren sie offen, mal gekapselt. Bis zum 500/1 62 waren es eben diese zwei Metall-Leisten mit je zwei Wirbeln.

Ob die nun besser oder praktischer sind, sei dahin gestellt. Sie sind auf alle Fälle mehr Vintage und das zählt!
