Very useful and built to last

The fret setter has a nice weight to it, it works great even on 1mm tall frets.

This item makes refreting very easy, the energy of each hammer blow transfers right into the fret and the fret slot reducing the amount of time you spend hammering and preserves your instrument, very useful when you hammer the higher frets on an acoustic above the soundboard.

Must have in your guitar toolbox

Often enough single high fret problems on guitar/bass are due to a fret that is not fitted properly for some reason (particularly on cheaper instruments), this tool and a hammer is what you need to resolve this problem. I would recommend using a rubber hammer as to not damage the tool or the instrument while fixing the fret.
Quality is great, a must-have.

Bundenden zurückklopfen

Ich habe den Hosco Fret Setter verwendet, um zwei Bundenden an meiner Tele vorsichtig zurückzuklopfen, welche die hohe E-Saite leicht sirren ließen. Zum Klopfen habe ich einen kleineren rückschlagfreien Hammer mit Kunststofftreibflächen (sog. Schonhammer, bzw. Bundierhammer, engl.: dead blow hammer) verwendet. Die Prozedur wird von Brad Angove auf YouTube gut beschrieben (Suchbegriffe: reset lifted fret). Anders als in dem Video gezeigt, habe ich den Hals nicht abgebaut, sondern mit einer langen Halsstütze als feste Unterlage fixiert. Der Fret Setter von Hosco ist aus Messing, einwandfrei verarbeitet, gut poliert und hat keine Grate. Top Werkzeug!
