Tube Screamer Treble Booster Pedal
When it comes to the classic pedals of rock music, the Tubescreamer is one of the most renowned. At the end of the 70s, the Ibanez Tube Screamer 808 appeared, an overdrive with truly tube-like characteristics, creating a sensation. Its successor, the TS 9, was also well received and has appeared since then on innumerable Pedalboards of the very biggest guitarists. Two prominent representatives deserve to be mentioned here: Stevie Ray Vaughan combined his Fender amps principle with a TS, setting a new standard for guitar sounds, and Gary Moore got the best out of his Marshals by firing them up with a TS. The TS is not overly distorted, but raises the volume and "tickles" the Amp more. Ideal for amplifiers that do not distort so much. One step on the pedal, and you have a harmonious, balanced and sustainable lead sound. The pedal has the classic Ibanez look of the early 80s.

Was soll man noch zum TS9 sagen ? Das Gerät ist praktisch unkaputtbar, die Bedienung kinderleicht und der Sound charakteristisch.
Ich spiele das pedal nun seit 4 Jahren vor einem VOX AC 30, sowohl vor dem clean eingestellten Amp als auch vor dem angezerrten Amp. Im letzteren Fall hat er m.E. die meiste Soundvielfalt, trotzdem fehlen mir hie und da die Bassanteile. Der Sound ist sehr mittig, die Lautstärke lässt sich problemlos auf Solo oder Begleitung trimmen.
Ich kombiniere in ähnlich wie Steve Ray Vaughan mit einem 2. grünen Pedal nämlich dem Bad Monkey der zusätzlich noch einen Bassregler hat. Durch die Kombination kann man aus einem einkanaligen Vox einen 3 Kanaler machen .... Cleaner Vox und im Solo eben beide Pedale an. Das funjtioniert natürlich auch mit 2 TS 9, aber die würde ich mir persönlich dann doch net zulegen wollen. Das Kulteffektpedal schlechthin gehört einfach zu meiner Sammlung. Ich finde es ist DER Overdrive Sound schlechthin, Metal oder stark angezerrte Sounds schafft er nicht, auch nicht wenn der VOX voll aufgerissen ist ... er reagiert sehr dynamisch mit dem Volume Regler der Gitarre.
Kaufempfehlung für alle Rocker die es nicht so hart mögen :-)
