Jackson Pro Plus Phil Demmel KV

Ordered guitar almost on the same day it was available. Always wanted polka dot style guitar and was thinking about king v shape guitar. Then Jackson released Phil Demmel KV model that features both of these features.

Very very cool features include EMG 51/60 pickups, separate battery compartment, normal headstock, binding, luminlay sidedost, 2000 Floyd Rose, strap locks, foam case, mahogany body. So no need to change any part. Guitar stays in tune using 2000 floyd. Of course, original Floyd Rose would be better, but this one does the job very well. At the moment it performs almost as good as my guitars with original floyd rose, but will se if it will stand the test of time.

Body work and paint job looks almost perfect, cant find any issues. It does look very cool in real life.

Sound is as good as expected. EMG are perfect for metal when combined with 5150 or boosted JCM 800 amps. Didn't really use clean sounds too much but when tried it with clean patch on Quad Cortex is was decent and usable.

My only wish would be that they would include stainless steel frets that are almost standard on new guitars of that range. This is the only reason I gave only 4 stars in feature section.
