K&M 12185

Very happy with this laptop stand. Built really well and my laptop doesn't move at all once fitted into the adjustable rubber stoppers. The table is heavy and the stand attachment is a big molded plastic unit that fits very snug onto the pole. I'm a drummer who controls the lighting gear for our shows and the stand sits very close to me so I can change lights in between songs. Also the table is quite long so I can put my mobile and glasses and other things on there too. I bought the mouse attachment also, and that is another great piece. Cheers!

I've tried the cheap, flimsy laptop stands before, and they always feel like one accidental bump away from a disaster. The K&M 12185 is the exact opposite. It’s heavy, steel, and rock-solid.

​The Clamps: It uses four adjustable pins with rubber caps to literally lock your laptop onto the plate. Once you tighten the wing nuts, you can actually tilt the stand or move it around without worrying about the laptop sliding off.
​Stability: The tripod base is wide and heavy. Even if I’m typing on it mid-set, there’s zero "wobble." It feels like a piece of professional stage gear, not a desk accessory.
​Cable Management: There’s a dedicated hole in the plate to run your power and USB cables through. It sounds like a small thing, but it keeps the stage looking way cleaner.
​Keep in mind: It’s not the lightest stand out there (nearly 4kg), but that’s the trade-off for security. Also, the plate itself is fixed (doesn't tilt), so make sure the height range (70cm to 125cm) works for your setup.
​Final Verdict: It’s a bit pricier than budget options, but considering it’s holding a laptop worth ten times as much, it’s cheap insurance. Classic K&M quality—buy it once, use it for life.
