Robust & Very Useful

Bought a couple of these Extensions to pair with the Manfrotto 087NW Wind Up Stands - Increasing its max height from 3.7m to 5.6m, or even 7.5m if I dare add a second.

Adding hight is occasionally very useful, but you must of course reduce lmax load to maintain stability! The other major issue of adding height means the stand also becomes difficult to load - with minimum height of 087NWs increasing from an accessible 1.8m to a more tricky 2.7m, so appropriate platform, ladder, etc., is required ...and you must take more care!

They are robust, all aluminium and very well made. Screw to 28mm pin and mid-section could been a bit more robust, but no problem to report as yet. The 16mm baby pin could be larger, rather than being the stubby brass item provided, but as i am more inclined to place a junior/pin adapter into the junior receiver, screw thread on the provided pin might yet prove to be a useful.

I have also used the extension with other Combo Stands, as well as plugging directly into c-stand turtle bases and other heavy duty bases to provide >2m Combo Stands.
