great little instrument; tuning hard though

This picco in baroque fingering is a lovely little instrument and a great alternative to a full size flute for travels or just for a different wooden sound. It isn't easy to play though, particularly the second octave is quite hard to get perfectly in tune. A beginner might find this challenging, but compared to the price of a flute it is still a good way to learn if switching from recorder.

Dieses Instrument an der Schnittstelle zwischen Sopranblockflöte und Querflöte ist eine echte Entdeckung. Mit den Griffen der Sopranflöte und dem Blasansatz der Querflöte hat man hier ein Instrument, dass noch runder und voller klingt, allerdings sehr viel Luft braucht. Damit ist es auch ein guter "Test", ob eine Querflöte in einem bestimmten Alter (wegen der Luft) schon begonnen werden kann. Mit der Größe kommt man bestens klar. Trotzdem ist es selber vollwertig und man kann hoffen, dass es in Zukunft selber öfter zu hören sein wird. Auf jeden Fall ein - zu diesem Preis - lohnenswerter Versuch!
