Pigtronix Infinity Looper 2

a ideia seria opima se funcionasse com precisão rítmica, só é útil para cenas que envolvam atmosferas inicias, para tocar a tempo com um uma banda, drum accompaniment, ou com Metrónomo, não é útil, acaba sempre fora de tempo, além de quando é dado o duplo clic para parar a trilha gravado produz alguns ruídos que para a finalidade ao vivo não convém, digo isto na unidade por mim testada, não posso avaliar outar porque só testei uma única unidade, além de que a que eu testei podia estar com defeito de fabrica
the idea would be great if it worked with rhythmic precision, it's only useful for scenes that involve initial atmospheres, to play in time with a band, drum accompaniment, or with Metronome, it's not useful, it always ends up out of time, besides when it's given the double click to stop the recorded track, it produces some noise that for the live purpose is not suitable, I say this in the unit tested by me, I cannot evaluate it because I only tested a single unit, besides the one I tested could be with Factory defect

I got the infinity 2 by Pigtronix while it was on sale, because its features seemed perfect for me. Two independent loops, small form factor and some useful effects that many loopers have. I noticed the numerous bad reviews that this pedal had but I ignored them thinking that it will be fine for me and got it. Now it’s going back. Immediately after receiving the pedal I noticed that it was quite lightweight and the foot switches felt kinda flimsy and unreliable. I already had a simple but great boss rc-1, which feels a lot more well built and reliable, and I actually realized that it’s a lot easier to use and easier to perfectly time the loop. I thought I was about to replace it with the Pigtronix but nope. The biggest issue that I found with the Pigtronix which was the dealbreaker for me is that immediately when plugged in you get a hiss coming from your amp. Even when you are not using the pedal at all, just by sitting in front of the amp it makes that noise. It isn’t super loud but definitely noticeable and annoying especially when turning the volume up. I used the right power supply which is good and I have used it with every other pedal that I have (the boss rc1 included) and it’s been great with everything, so that’s not the problem. No other pedal that I’ve had made that hiss. The rc1 has always been dead quiet, and even though it’s 16 bit while the infinity 2 is 24 bit, I think that the boss sounded better. For these reasons I returned it and wouldn’t recommend it, especially to any professional. If it makes a hissing noise just by being plugged in a small combo amp at home, with no complicated signal chains or anything, I would never trust it for anything more.

Enfin le bon looper...
Après avoir possédé le JM4 Line6, le Dynamic Looper de Vox, le Trio Band plus de Digitech, je cherchais un looper 2 pistes simple...
Ici pas de réglages, pas de menus compliqués : le son doit être réglé en amont.
Cette boite est uniquement un looper, mais un looper très évolué sans être complexe pour autant !

Le point fort :
Ce looper est magique ! Le mode Verse Chorus avec possibilité de réécriture des pistes sans interrompre la lecture est tout simplement génial... on peut ainsi jouer a l’infini et en constante évolution !

Petits points négatifs :
Manque une prise casque et une possibilité de fonctionnement sur piles.
Manque la possibilité de Undo Redo sur les 2 pistes en mode Verse Chorus... mais ce serait probablement plus complexe et ce n’est pas la philosophie de ce looper...
(A noter qu’il existe un mode secret qui permet de passer du mode Undo Redo au mode Verse chorus et vice versa sans perdre la piste en cours.)

Conclusion :
Un Looper génial et hyper intuitif : tout simplement le meilleur que j’ai possédé !

Ich bin schon lange auf der Suche nach einem guten und einfach bedienenden Looper, mit dem man intuitiv arbeiten kann und der weder 4 Kilo auf die Waage bringt noch für den man sein Erstgeborenes verkaufen muss.
Der erste Eindruck war positiv: Der Inifinity 2 ist ein sehr schickes kleines Kästchen und noch dazu sehr hochwertig verarbeitet! Aber: die Software ist nicht ausgereift und hat sich schon nach fünf Minuten das erste Mal aufgehängt. Nach dem Reset (=Stromkabel raus und wieder rein) war kurz alles gut, nur leider ist seitdem die Undo Funktion nicht mehr ansteuerbar. Dazu fehlt mir die Möglichkeit, die beiden Loops seriell zu schalten. Der Sound wurde zudem im Oberdubmodus deutlich schlechter, außerdem hat das Gerät dann auch ein starkes Rauschen produziert. Alles in allem ist der Inifinity 2 ein Gerät, das letztendlich unausgereift und auch für den Funktionsumfang m.E. zu teuer ist. Er geht deshalb zurück. Ich probiere es jetzt mit dem (leider größeren) Ditto x4 und hoffe, dass der funzt.
