Great jack of all trades guitar

I'm primarily a bass player, switched from guitar more than 10 years ago, and I was waiting for a guitar that's similarly specced like John Petrucci one but obviously cheaper. This fits the bill, looks gorgeous, sounds great (even though I have a lot of research and experimentation to do about guitar tones), and it comes with a bag which is great.

When the guitar arrived, it's just a matter of tuning it and it's ready to play.

Pickups on their own work nicely, splitting does drop volume a bit, so you have to balance that somehow. Tremolo with Piezo is what I was most interested in, since that's quite rare on cheaper guitars (cheaper than JP model anyway). Piezo on its own sounds very very nice, a bit of reverb and you're good to go if you like the tone.

I run this with HX Stomp, I use both inputs and split them. I run L channel for magnets just eq, amp and a bit of reverb. On the R channel for piezo it's eq, IR and reverb, then it sounds the most identical as miced acoustic guitar. This gives you two separate tones that you can mute any one of those, blend, and have a lot of fun :) Ofc this preset is like the default for me, and then per song I'll create different patches.

All in all, I can't find a fault in this guitar, it's a keeper, and I hope more piezo equipped electric guitars on the cheaper and come to the market.

Unlike some other guitars and basses, the only upgrades that are worth doing here are pickup swap and locking tuners, but I'll play it first until I see I need to change anything (except strings obviously).
