It does it's job but...

I always buy Remo heads for my drums. I find them reliable, they hold the tuning very well, they have a wide tuning range, and are durable.
This Falam Slam does its' job in protecting the impact site of the head from the beating of the beater but, perhaps, Remo could make an other version that is thicker to offer more attack and 'click'. This is just personal preference, of course.
Overall, a great pad and I will keep buying them.

Bit smaller than my last slam pad

Works fine and serves it's purpose, had trouble finding the bigger ones... i prefer a slightly larger surface area so that stoned drummers don't have to think too hard about the height of the beater on their kick pedal but they don't seem to sell them anymore.

Great protection

Evans kick drum patches. which I used in the past, weren't actually serving good protection for my kick head until I tried Falam Slam. In the past, using Evans ones, kick head wouldn't last me for a year, but when I started using Remo ones, my PS3 head lasted for 2.5 years. All in all, they're serving their purpose very well and I intend to continue purchasing them whenever I need them.

- the durability of the patch and a drumhead itself
