Taylor 512ce 12-Fret Urban Ironbark

As many of us do when we are spending silly money on either out first or forty first guitar, I Read every review about Taylor's good and bad bits and how some are better than others.
I did look at the 312, 812 and the very fancy 912 in local shops. This 512 was only available online. It's price Vs specifications I felt was justifiable and as thomann have a good return policy sure why not try it.
It is not my first 12 fret but I'm my many years of playing I can honestly say I am very impressed with this little gem both visually and tonally... Everyone has a different view on what's tonally perfect and no two ears hear the same. Bearing that in mind I think if you know what you are looking for in a 12 fret guitar and you are not looking for a big hard hitting dread you will be very happy. Yes the 8 and 9 series I played are beautiful but not an extra 3 to 4000 euro beautiful...Tonally or visually. This 512 really stands out for me at it's 2300 price. Yes it's still expensive but you weren't looking at Taylor for cheap guitar options!
For this guitar ... I'm a Very happy chappy. Just buy it 🙂
